One week without an update. My life is so boring.

We'll have a look at another apartment this Friday. Look at this:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

So much space. And a balcony. The rent ranges from 366 to 393 Euros per month. 393 would be our absolute limit. Absolutely absolute. I thank God for the generally low prices when it comes to renting apartments in Leipzig.

What else has happened? My mom went to Bonn last Saturday, because there was a Guggenheim thing going on. That meant my dad, brother and I had a relaxing Saturday... home alone. :P
I also got to know [info]zordar's dad that day. Very interesting, to say the least. (<- Ha, there's the Ugly. You almost thought I'd write an entry without it, huh?)

I have to work tonight, tomorrow night, Friday night and Saturday :/ And there's a bunch of homework left for me to do. Better get started...

Tomorrow's a day off. Thank you, Martin Luther.

Evi and I went on our weekly apartment-hunt again, and this week's apartments were good- she'd have one big room, I'd have two smaller ones. Also, every apartment was right beneath the roof (which means no annoying people walking *on our heads* :P )and every apartment had a big balcony. We're still undecided, though.
We might just go out tomorrow and see if there are any empty apartments in this neighborhood, the worst part about moving (for me at least) would be to leave this neighborhood. We're very central, university and all kinds of stores are basically in front of our house, so is the tram station, the train station, the zoo and basically everything else.

It's not easy :(

While cleaning my computer, I also found this photo of last year's Games Convention. Classic XD

I've had it! No wonder the washing machine in the basement has to be replaced every 3 to 4 months. People should learn how to use that thing properly and watch what they actually put in there.
Evi found 2 credit cards (!) in the filter today. We made this info-sheet to be displayed in the hallway... for everybody to read XD

(Just so you know - things like these cause damage to the washing machine.)

I wanna have an apartment where we can actually use Evi's washing machine in our bathroom... not in the basement :(

Going home tomorrow.

And I almost pissed myself while reading this Nintendo-Forum thread again. I'm Gagin, and Evi is Navi. Keep in mind we live together And it's in German, sorry. XD

I have to say Evi and I do have a very unique friendship... I love the fact I live together with my best friend who is actually just as messy and as I am. That way, she can't complain ;D
I remember, a while ago, we were both brushing our teeth and we were fooling around; all the sudden I felt the urge to step out on the hallway (in my pyjamas) and act like a retard, while Evi was standing in the bathroom and almost threw up while laughing. We were both 22 years old at that time. .

And three years ago, around Christmas time, Evi, Inga and I were leaving the Uni at about 9 pm. It was already dark outside and the Christmas Market (which is right in front of the Uni) was already closed. Anyway, they had a "Finnish Village", which was also closed, but there were still benches standing around, each of them approximately 3 Meters in size (which would be... ca. 9 feet?). Anyway, Inga suddenly says:"Hm, I'd need a bench like that for my birthday party." And while we were walking past the Finnish Village, Evi just grabbed one of the benches as if it were the most normal thing in the world. XD We all carried it away, when I realized I had to take a look at the tram schedule, so I went to the other side of the street, while Inga and Evi kept going. All the sudden I hear a man shouting:"Young ladies, where do you think you're going??!!" Well, turns out there was a security guard watching the market (duuuuuuh) and he caught us. Before I could move, I heard another guy who was standing on my side of the street laughing and I couldn't help but laughing, too, even though I knew I'd be in deep trouble. I managed to get to the other side of the street where Evi and Inga were standing in front of the guard and he was furious. We were scared but at the same time had such a hard time not to burst out laughing, the entire situationw as just too retarded as to not find it hilarious, really. So, the guy is all like "Yak, yak, yak, yak!!11" and we just stood there and listened to him. I was sure he'd call the police, but at the end he let us go... after we had to carry the bench back to the Finnish Village. With a bunch of people watching us. God, that was funny XD

Man, that was even more of a random entry than my last one :D

The Spongebob bag arrived after all. ^__^

EDIT: I've seen Corpse Bride and LOVED it. God, why haven't I watched it earlier... in the theatre?? Gah. But I have the DVD now and Evi got herself this huge video projector, so it's almost like sitting in a theater anyway :D

Alex is back from Great Britain and I'm reeeeaaaallly curious about what he's gonna tell us about it. He'll be coming over next Thursday (Torrrrsdaaaag)and it's gonna be like over one year ago. :D *sigh*

I have classes until 7 pm today. Sociolinguistics; a class about inquiries, polls, surveys and the like (which I think I'm taking with [info]glasgarten ) and Media Law (*yawn*).

But I had an awesome class yesterday: History and Aesthetics of Computer- and Videogames So_downright_cool!

And to add yet another very random fact: I'm waiting for a Spongebob bag to arrive!! Come on, already!

Soooo, uni has started. I don't really have a lot of classes (only 18 hours a week). I do, however, need to finally write some more exams and/or papers in order to get certain "efficiency statements". I'm also working, so that might be an excuse for me not having a lot of classes. One week I work for five days,the other one for three. That's okay, I guess.

Oh, and we've been on an apartment hunt the past week.
Pictures and the like under the cut )

On another note:

[info]zordar will be coming over in December.

Good-bye XD

Aaaaw, they have the beginning of "Spuk im Hohhaus" on Youtube. It's in German, but I dare you to watch it anyway ;) This was (and still is) one of my favorite German shows ever. And the music and special effects = best things evarz!11 XD
It starts getting interesting at 0:55 min.

Is this an update? I don't really have much to say, because NOTHING is happening around here. I've been working the past days, on Saturday even 7 3/4 hours without a break. "Kathrin, could you print us some more price tags, please? Can you do this? Could you call xyz" Thank God I get money for it :P

Mom and I will be seing Hannes Wader in Concert on October 5th. He's a German Communist folk singer (yes, German folk), and while I'm not much into that kind of music in general (except for some songs we had to sing in music class way back), I must say I adore Hannes Wader's songs. His voice is gorgeous and when he plays the guitar and sings.... oooh yes. *Goosebumps*

OMGYES!!11

Back from 5 days of Games Convention. I can't say I'm sad it's over, after all we really did work a lot. But we also got time to walk through the halls and play the newest games. And since we're not only visitors but exhibitors, we were allowed to walk through the business area as well where they had the Wii <3 However, I didn't get to play it because I just couldn't be arsed to stand in line for an hour while nobody was watching my consoles in the other hall.
We also went to the video-games-music-concert. It was excellent. They played all kinds of themes, like One winged angel from Final Fantasy or the Hyrule-theme of Zelda - Ocarina of Time. Though, to be honest, I just can't hear that theme anymore. Zelda's lullaby or the Gerudo-music is so much better...)). I'm not an anime fan, but some of their music is just brilliant.
We had people over at our apartment as well, real-life and online friends, one night, we were 10 people in our 2 bedroom apartment. What can I say, it worked out... somehow Tonight, when I came home, everybody was gone and it felt so strange, because we had a "full house" for 5 days now :((( Ah well, now I have time to watch Scrubs Season 4 that came last week and play some more DS. Yupp, I bought myself a white DS lite. It's the greatest invention since the Gameboy. I'M LOVING IT!

I'll post pictures soon, but now I'm just way too tired.

Good night :)

O__o

My parents just called and told me they wanna come over.... in an hour or so. I really don't mind having them over here and wanting to see me, but... you know.
So, I cleaned my room faster than ever before (thank God it wasn't all that messy) and as of now, I'm just waiting for them to knock on my door.

I'm working every day of the week except Sunday, mostly in the evening hours. And I know I'm gonna feel sad when my parents leave tonight and I'll still have to go to work. I'd rather just jump into their car and come with them to Magdeburg. My co-workers are all really nice, except maybe my boss, who seems to be an arrogant snob who's proudly driving his leased BMW through Leipzig. I love people like that. Well, I guess I have to think about all the money I'm making. It's not *that* much, but definitely much for me. And having 300-400 more Euros to spend each month makes a huge difference to me. I should probably start saving some money for a trip to the States, maybe even a semester there. Not this month, though XD I'll spend this month's money for a DS and the third season of Scrubs :D
Next Wednesday the Games Convention starts. YAY!! I'll be working my butt off there (9 hours each day, 5 days altogether) but it's gonna be so exciting.

There's SO much I'd like to have XD Let's see...

* Nintendo DS lite (white)
* Super Mario DS
* New Super Mario Bros
* Mario Kart DS
(Can you tell I love Mario Games?)
* Dr Kawashima's Brain Jogging

* Scrubs 3
* Roseanne Season ...
* The X-Files (all seasons)
* about 25 missing Disney movies
* Simpsons Season 6 + 7
* Dr Strangelove (or how I...)
* Golden Girls (Seasons 1-4)
* Six Feet Under (Seasons 1-5)

* The Goebbels-Diaries (compendium) ... but they cost 50 Euros, wtf O__o

Yes.

That was today's rant. Thank you.
